Marte Marie Forsberg<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Marte Marie Forsberg is a Norwegian photographer and writer who has made the beauty of everyday life the heart of her work. Growing up in Norway, she learned to cook at her mother\u2019s side, surrounded by the scent of freshly baked bread and the fruits gathered from the family garden. That childhood, steeped in nature and simple gestures, deeply shaped her way of seeing the world.
After traveling and living in different parts of the world, she found her ideal home in a cottage in the English countryside, a place that feels as if it belongs to a fairytale. Here she photographs, cooks, writes, and hosts workshops, turning daily life into images that capture quiet, timeless atmospheres.
Her style blends the soft light of the North, Norwegian traditions, and the rustic elegance of England. In 2017, she published The Cottage Kitchen, a book that is not only a collection of recipes but also a diary of travels, seasons, and memories. Today, she continues to share this poetic world through her creative projects, her recipes, and her weekly newsletter From a Kitchen in the Country. <\/p>

It was a summer afternoon when I reached out to Marte Marie Forsberg. I had been following her on Instagram for a long time. Among photographs capturing the soft light of dawn, cottages wrapped in mist, and dishes prepared with simplicity yet with great attention to detail, I recognized something familiar: the same inspiration drawn from nature, the same artisanal care, the same idea that an object\u2014a fabric, a textile, an environment\u2014is above all shaped by what surrounds it. <\/p>

That\u2019s how the idea was born: to create a booklet that would tell the story of \u201cThe English Countryside\u201d not only as a geographical place, but as a state of mind. A limited edition for Sentier that would include photographs taken by Marte, reflections on seasonality, simple recipes, memories of the North, tactile materials in the packaging\u2014tweed, tartan, textured paper, soft tones, sage green, cream, ochre\u2014all designed to evoke the feeling of English hills, hedgerows, wildflowers, and a fire crackling in the hearth at dusk. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Pier Paola Can\u00e8<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\u201cContemplation is a mandatory step in Formentera, just like losing yourself in one of its sunsets or surrendering to the slow movement of the waves that paint your thoughts in shades of blue. A strong memory lingers in those who long to return because leaving the island always comes with the same desire: to come back as soon as possible.\u201d This is how Paola speaks about \u201cher\u201d island, the place she has chosen as home, splitting her time between a life spent traveling between Palma, Bologna, and Milan. Lighthouses, towers, dunes, beaches\u2014these come to life in her watercolors. Through her drawings, her nostalgic gaze deceives the mind, making it easy to imagine oneself as the protagonist of her paintings\u2014perhaps at Cal\u00f3 des Mort or sitting in the square of San Francesc, sipping coffee. Her paintings are visual stories that depict an island far removed from the glitz, footballers, and celebrities. Paola portrays a place defined by slow seasons, silence, and the endless sea\u2014\u201cthe only way I know Formentera.\u201d

It was on an April evening, in a restaurant of mutual friends, that I met Paola and her husband, Angelo, in front of a roasted pork knuckle with potatoes (yes, you read that right, pork knuckle in Formentera!). A friendship that grows stronger with every return to the island. A friendship that turns into a collaboration, bringing Paola\u2019s watercolors from the deep blue of the sea and the reds of the sunsets to snowy mountains and blooming meadows. Through Sentier, Paola rediscovers a connection to her past. The watercolors she paints for Sentier remind her of her family and the mountain trips from her childhood.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tI first met Mim\u00ec in France, in M\u00e9doc, at one of her workshops. It felt as if I had known her forever. Raised between Hong Kong and Paris, a former model, and the face behind a hugely followed Instagram page\u2014@mimithorisson. She is also a bestselling author. When she\u2019s not in Turin, where she lives permanently with her photographer husband Oddur, five of their eight children, and numerous dogs, she is in M\u00e9doc. There, she cultivates her own vegetable garden and cooks everything she serves at her workshops. The dinners, the recipes\u2014everything is real.

Authenticity is still a value, and you can feel it. It was during one of these dinners, between oven-roasted quail and tarte Tatin, that I told her about Sentier.\nBoth deeply in love with life and Italian traditions, we decided to bring this project to life: a collaboration on a limited-edition capsule collection of Friulane, featuring hand-embroidered personalized initials. The shared passion for Italian heritage and for all those simple things that evoke emotions and memories did the rest.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

“-so Gabriele Stabile writes in an excerpt of an interview with Meredith
Erickson that appeared in Cook on the occasion of the presentation of the book “Alpine
Cooking.” A cookbook. A journey. A life story.

I discovered Meredith through Instagram, though I can\u2019t remember exactly how. I immediately
ordered his book. A book that I love and that everyone should have above the table
in the kitchen. In January 2020, a month before the pandemic, I met Meredith
over dinner at Brite de Larieto. A restaurant in Cortina, to which Nicola and I are very
attached. After collaborating with Mimi I dreamed of a collaboration with
Meredith as well, two women as profoundly different as Friulane dalle Pedule are,
but with the same passion for cooking and authentic things. Between a Lagrain-Abbazia
and a Sylvaner-Kofererhof we listened to her story: seven years spent among the
Italian, Austrian, French and Swiss Alps to collect everything that you
later read in the book. After that dinner I thought how I could collaborate with her, and so
